About Us — Quran.IslamHashtag.com

Helping You Recite the Quran
the way it deserves to be read

Word-by-word correction. Private. Patient. Personalised — for every age, every level, from anywhere in the world.

What We Do

Many of us have been reciting the Quran for years — even decades — carrying a quiet wish that someone would finally tell us exactly what we are doing wrong. Too shy to recite in front of others. No time for fixed class schedules. No access to patient, individual correction.

That is why TajweedDesk — hosted at quran.islamhashtag.com — was built. It is a private, asynchronous Quran recitation correction platform. You upload your recitation. Your teacher listens, then marks every error word by word — Makhraj, Madd, Ghunna, Qalqalah — directly on the Arabic text. You tap any flagged word to hear the correct pronunciation, practise, and resubmit.

No live sessions. No fixed timings. No audience. Just you, your Quran, and a teacher who sees exactly where you are.

وَرَتِّلِ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ تَرْتِيلًا

"And recite the Quran with measured recitation." — Surah Al-Muzzammil 73:4

How It Works

Simple. Private. Precise.

Six steps from your first Sabaq to word-perfect recitation.

1

Your teacher assigns a Sabaq

A specific set of ayahs appears on your dashboard with the Surah name, ayah range, and due date. Assignments can be by Surah, Juz, Hizb, page, or a custom range depending on your level.

2

Listen first — tap any word to hear it

Before recording, listen to the full ayah with Sheikh Alafasy audio. Tap any individual Arabic word to hear exactly how it should sound, see its transliteration, and flag it as difficult.

3

Upload your recitation

Record on your phone using any standard voice recorder app and upload the file. Or record directly in your browser. One file per ayah. Simple, private, and secure.

4

Teacher marks every error word by word

Within 24 hours, your dashboard shows exactly which words had errors — Makhraj, Madd, Ghunna, Qalqalah, Idghaam, and more. Each error includes a 🔊 button to hear the correct pronunciation immediately.

5

Practise flagged words and mark them done

Every error word goes into your Practice list. Tap to hear, practise, mark done. Your teacher resolves it when your next submission comes in cleanly. Watch your error count go down — that is real progress.

6

Message your teacher directly

A private message thread connects you directly to your teacher — no group chats, no public forums, no waiting rooms. Just you and your Ustadha, at your own pace.

Who This Is For

No age limit.
No experience required.

🧕

Sisters who feel too shy to recite

No camera. No live audience. Send your recording privately and receive kind, detailed correction at your own pace — no judgement, only guidance.

Busy people with no time for fixed classes

Your Sabaq arrives on your chosen days and waits for you — morning, evening, or weekend. Life doesn't have to stop for learning.

👴

Elders who wish they had started sooner

It is never too late. Many people recite for decades without receiving honest, word-level correction. That is exactly what TajweedDesk was built for — at any age.

🌍

Anyone, anywhere in the world

Reverts building from zero. Brothers preparing to lead Salah. Students in any country. As long as you have a phone and ten minutes, you can learn — insha'Allah.

Note: TajweedDesk is designed for teenagers and adults who can work independently through written feedback. For younger children who benefit from live 1-on-1 teaching, please see Madrasatuna.com below.

"I have met so many sisters — and brothers too — who have been reading Quran for decades and carry a silent sadness that they never received honest, word-level correction. This platform was built to say: it is never too late. And you deserve correction that sees exactly where you are."

The Person Behind It

Ustadha Fahmina Jawed
(Aafiya)

Assalamu alaykum. I'm Fahmina — an Alimah who graduated from two prestigious Islamic institutions, holds an MA in Arabic Language, and has spent years teaching Tafsir and Hadith to women. I am also a qualified optometrist, and I have been writing at IslamHashtag.com for over 11 years.

TajweedDesk grew out of one recurring conversation I kept having with students and readers: "I have been reciting for so long, but I don't think I'm doing it right — and I have no way to know." That quiet worry is what this platform was built to solve.

Every feature — the word-by-word error tagging, the tappable 🔊 audio button, the private practice list, the direct message thread — was designed by me, built by me, and tested with real students before it went live. This is not a marketplace or a franchise. It is a small, personal platform where your teacher knows your name and your Sabaq.
